Jim Brown

2009 Hall of Fame Inductee

 

 

 

                                   Jim Brown is a Goshen High School Class of 1964 graduate. Jim was a Process Chemist

                     at the Hilton Davis Chemical Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he worked for 41 years. He was

                  responsible for Product Cost, Scheduling, Process Yields and Quality for the  Dye Manufacturing Area.

                                              Jim was married to his Goshen High School Sweetheart, Linda Cornwell Brown, a Class of

                  1965 graduate and previous Goshen High School Hall of Fame recipient.  Jim and Linda's daughter,

                 Jamii, is a 6th grade teacher at Goshen.

                                     Jim has been an active member of the Goshen Alumni Association's Planning Group since

                  1988. Jim served as President of the Alumni Association from 1990-1993 and has served as Secretary

                  from 2000- 2008.     He has chaired the Dinner Committee since 1994. He has been on the Scholarship

                  Selection Committee since 1990.  Jim was very instrumental in creating and expanding the Scholarship Awards.

                                     Jim is member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton church where he has assisted with the St. Vincent

                  De Paul Organization which provides food, clothing and utilities help for the needy .

 

                                     Jim was nominated to the Goshen High School Hall of Fame by Sue Holt.
